Some fans doubt the authenticity of the female narrator’s voice when it is delivered by a male author.

I, too, hate “girl” being used to describe grown women. To the male threadjackers who will show up to whine about “But you all say ‘girl’s night out!’” — Sure, sometimes when we talk about our closest friends/relatives, we might use that term with affection, but when talking about women in general or a random woman,

I can’t believe this has to be explained

I realize I’m like, the only person in the world who seems to care about this, but can we talk about how “Girl” is still used ubiquitously to refer to grown women?

Women have taken male pen names to be taken seriously, to be read in the first place because of blatant sexism. I have nothing against these men doing the initials things, but it is not the same.

One of the authors featured has gone so far as to try on a bra so he didn’t make any obvious mistakes that might throw female readers out of the story.

Lol, yeah I’m sure Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Dennis Lehane, Thomas Harris, Dan Brown, Stieg Larsson, Ted Dekker, T.C. Boyle, John le Carré, Frederick Forsthe and so many others are changing their names as we speak, since they can no longer compete with the few female thriller writers you’ve mentioned. *Sigh*

I read The Girl Before and thought it was a BIG disappointment. Then I found out it was written by a man, then it made sense to me.

I have never read a book written by a man that fooled me into thinking it was written by a woman. As soon as they introduce the female characters, it always becomes painfully obvious. It’s bad enough female writers have a harder time getting published, now these assholes want to capitalize on one of the few categories

I keep seeing it at the store and thinking I’ll give it a try, only to read the ingredients and change my mind because there is no way that it tastes right.

As you rightfully should be.

That friend is probably the Alice, I’d bet.

Mia Kirshner is a beautiful human.

They did Max so wrong and dirty in the show.

excited for ghost jenny

Calling it- Joanna definitely wrote this takedown.

19-year-old “bubblegum trap” god Lil Yachty

It was a great double turn. Didn’t even need the main event after that. And Braun Strowman is a star.
