“the deal was reached a week ago, but has been kept ‘a big secret’ because Michele’s camp feared the seven days of criticism that would surely lead up the divisive President-elect’s big day.”
A bright spot. Talking to my Republican, non-Trump voting mom after the election and I mentioned that Holocaust survivors are feeling a sense of familiarity to Nazi Germany. She.....okay brace yourselves. She said that this is what she felt when Obama was elected. Because....oh god.....Obamacare. Yes, my mom compared…
Cersei Lannister is my favorite character in Game of Thrones. I never wanted her to be a real person though. Yet here she is, personified in Kellyanne Conway.
I saw the trailer in theaters and wasn’t going to see it anyway (we have an elderly dog who is my soulmate, and any reminder that she is not immortal is very upsetting).
This is just a reason that doesn’t involve Kleenex.
I tend to agree that reading is an important barometer of intelligence, but I think about it more in terms of how someone reads rather than what or how much. You could read People for all I care as long as you’re thinking halfway critically about it.
Right? “Hey I screamed horrible things at these people. Why can’t they try to engage me in a reasonable conversation?”
Hey, that could totally work in certain circumstances. For example, if you or the guy was about to leave for a 90 day stay on the International Space Station. There are no other circumstances.
“That isn’t Gregg’s dick.”
I really dislike Chelsea Handler - I personally find her unfunny and incredibly unpleasant - but I do somewhat agree with her on this.
Just you. “Cock” always seemed weird to me. “Cock” seems strictly porn-y whereas “dick” is like an everyman name for it. And me and my friends never called each other a cockhead.
I hate to see a company that was trying to do right by their American workers close down. But the former face of this company - who everyone couldn’t forget - was a perv, and the marketing was creepy as hell. I liked the high quality t-shirts, but stopped buying them because their billboards looked like pictures…
Maples was worried about her financial situation with Tiffany out of college, ending child-support payments from the president-elect. “She is used to a certain lifestyle and you don’t understand that.”
“He has not been a person to do staged events for the sake of doing staged events.”
My dog is much easier:
Proud of our California delegation.
To be fair, they had played the same non-partisan ball in the past, when Obama was elected and re-elected. It’s not hard to assume that they thought, “non-partisan” = no sweat.
They are a bar band from NJ who booked the gig 4 years ago. They issued what they hoped was an apolitical statement for doing the right thing. Given the avalanche of publicity over the weekend, it’s pretty rough to fault them for not adding more outrage.
Well, to be fair, they have played at the inauguration for years and they signed the contract to play at the 2016 one in 2013. So unless they had a really good crystal ball, they just thought this would be another gig, that they are under contract to perform.
My dating experiences and general experience with men have led me to believe that straight men are good only for getting laid.
