If you haven't read Walter Simonson's Surtur vs Thor saga, do it NOW

Darkseid vs Galactus

Yep. Even though I was a Star Trek re-run kid before Star Wars came out, I'm quite certain that I never would have joined the good ol "Science Fiction Book Club"* if not for Star Wars and (especially) Empire (I wasn't allowed to see Alien). And that club absolutely opened the gates of litterary sci-fi and fantasy,

Bastard...

Is it pretty much agreed that this is the show that proved that good television isn't necessarily on television?

Pretty much kicked off the serialized golden age of television we are still enjoying.

Actually, what I find distasteful about this video is that it's INEPT pandering to those actual living people in the "flyover states." It's insulting to their intelligence, some politicos assuming that all it'll take is some faux Lee Greenwood bullshit to secure their votes.

Everything related to futuristic law enforcement and the security state. It's only likely to get worse, because there's been very little pushback against the militarization of law enforcement in the last decade.

Shane was right. When the world turns to crap, you have to protect your own and don't put your guard down. The Woodbury War wouldn't have happened with Shane in charge.

What a piece of junk!

This will get played with for a couple hours, go down a few flights of stairs - then under the bed it goes.

Do it right or go home.

Oh, Jim Webb. He's a finely principled man. But he doesn't like to campaign, he doesn't like to fundraise, and he sucks at currying political favor. He's the kind of leader we need, but not the kind who can actually win elections. I imagine yes-men are telling him he can flank Clinton from the right (while Bernie

Clearly shit was a little crazier in the 20's.

The Milano going to Knowhere was pretty awesome-
