With my imaginary funds, there are only a handful of cars from 1982 I’d want to own. And at the top of that list is the Lancia 037

Function over form. I meets the criteria demanded and is likely designed to be cheaper to build (and maintain for the service lifetime). I believe the order is something like 250k and currently no other market for these so need to keep parts manufacturing as cheap as possible.

Exhaust all remaining funds in legal fees before imploding.

Lawrence - Stealing my comment as your example and no credit? Shameful.

Nice chrome buffet table you've got there

Uhg yes "new Beetle" should've been included.

2nd gen “new Beetle” looks great, first gen hung on for way too long with the overemphasized circular lines and bubble appearance comparitively. 2nd Gen got the lines correct and is a better interpretation of “retro done right”.

Looking at those D pillar shapes you can also see how rearward visibility kept taking a hit with every evolution as well.

I knew I’d get some feedback, and I don’t dislike the Prowler (should’ve had a manual), it just kinda started the design craze in not a good way. While there were upgrades to the power trains they all were later adds to try and make up for the phoned-in first edition models that were trying to rely on the ugly styling

The ‘00s retro-craze that brought us a bunch of half-baked cars featuring new-old styling with borderline lethargic power train setups in most:

Agreed however TBH anything he has he’s making a profit on given the market prices. I mean, someone’s offloading all those sweet, sweet K-cars we’ve been seeing on NPOND, right?

Congrats!! So close to Father’s Day feels like an early gift! The timing for our daughter walking feels closer than it probably is, but I can’t wait for the day as well.

That diagram shows non-American sized travelers... I’d like to see this diagram show a few 250lb+ individuals with the “skinny” person in the center and how that changes things up

My 5th gen Civic had this (1st and 2nd gen CRVsas well) and TBH I preferred this set up to putting it all on the wheel (or the dumb VW stalk based cruise in our JSW). I guess I don’t see the point of turning it on/off given the two button setup let’s you set/decel and resume/accel. Probably what’s missing is a

VW is king of doing this and I was extremely happy knowing the JSW had amber indicators as we were shopping for them last year. I honestly think adding Euro spec lights would’ve been the one modification I'd have done immediately just for the personal reason that I love Amber turn signals. (Added bonus would be a rear

I love little clever storage solutions or interior design features that are for specific problems:

Yeah cherry picking out the the lowest value doesn’t work when trying to express the values as a whole. The original statement was about being 30% more and it’s factually an incorrect statistic that’s thrown about. Viewed as a whole, the range for 2020 diesel price compared to gasoline was from +23% to -16.7%

Isn’t the point of the RS cars to put a ‘normal car’ into the ‘sports car’ category (‘S’ being the sporty version)? The RS3 might be a bit porky, but mad respect to Audi for hanging on to the I5 for all it’s glory and giving a ‘completely suitable with 200HP car’ double that amount. It’s imperfect, but it’s a junior

2017 is the only recent year that sales were double, most years it’s ~50% more, which is still enough for Toyota to cut itfrom there lineup. They may retain ~50% of the lost sales for higher profit margin (at least bade model). Maybe, just maybe Toyota will pivot and try to recapture some of the Bronco buzz with a next

Your 1st point is completely wrong. Diesel is ~10% more expensive than gasoline currently (across the market, yes and here’s a chart for the last 5 years. If your ride drinks premium you’re even worse off:
