It's "less" of an issue because being insulted (while sucky and painful) is not the same thing as systemic oppression. There are some excellent comments (take a look at Lindaaargh and squarerootof *sp?) that detail how heavy people are oppressed that lead to significantly worse outcomes than those of thinner people.

But the "bad parts of being skinny" isn't due to being thin- it's due to being a woman. It's a sexism issue- the pressure on women to look good is pure sexism.
