Oh, wow! What an unnecessary pile on. For what it's worth, I agree with your original point- it is a crack in the argument, and those are to be avoided whenever possible. And a researcher that says they "are just asking questions" (regardless of whether the questions meet methodological standards or not) is being

Also 27, and I mend my (cheap!) clothing. My parents taught me how as a life skill.

Well, I'm poor- so not only do I buy cheap disposable clothing, I also repair said clothing. I think my love for tiered skirts as a teenager set me up well for repairing and repurposing clothes now. The idea of throwing away even cheap clothing because of a fixable issue is anathema to me. Also, I'm 27, so definitely

She truly is the Marie Antoinette of our times. I always felt sorry for MA, she was clueless, not malicious. Also, she never said that stupid cake line.

In some ways, I find him more dangerous than Pope Palpatine- he knows PR, and is managing to convince a large number of people that the church is changing, when it's little more than a prettier veneer.

Was that him??!? That makes his descent into douchebaggery even sadder.

I love this gif, I love Gillian Anderson and I love the Fall. Top choice. Also, can't wait for season two- it's sometime this month isn't it?

She's one of the ones I was hoping would make it out of that cult. My hope for her is fading :(

Well, "feminazi" does roll off the tongue a mite easier than "femihun" or "femicommie"...

Speak for yourself- I'd feed them muffins. Specifically, apple cinnamon muffins with a cinnamon crumble top. This is how the patriarchy will fall- sweet, sweet justice!

Are security screens not a thing in America? I live in a hot country (Australia, for those wondering) and no way could anyone be expected to sleep with windows closed. Also, they keep out the bugs- do Americans just live with having your house be a free for all for insects? Weird.

I have asked this before- but why don't they have security screens? No need to shut the window then- lets the breeze through, keeps criminals and insects out. Are they not standard features in American homes?

More like a compelling case for security screens.

I'm wondering why there is no security screen in the window- let breezes through, keep criminals and insects out. I don't have aircon, and no way could I live with closed windows- especially as I live in Qld Australia, where it gets plenty hot. Luckily, between the nice breezes, the good insulation and a nice fan, I

Do Americans not have security screens? It's mentioned in the article that windows are open to let in the breeze, but a security screen will let the brezze through, while keeping criminals and insects out. Only the oldest of Aussie houses don't have them on all windows and doors. Why don't you have them in the US? -

What *she's* put them through? Are you fucking kidding me? If they are "exhausted" from dealing with her mental illness, imagine how she feels.

Wasn't it Walker who got a prank call from someone pretending to be a Koch brother? And didn't he fangirl out and completely admit that he was all for representing the interests of the rich and didn't actually care about his constituents?

I'll add another one: She decided not to continue with pressing charges, which means she lied about it.

Me too- and I was also 13. 99 was a bad fashion year. I'm fairly sure I was still wearing that horrible skirt + pants (and proper pants, not leggings) trend. Ugh.

that was awesome- thanks for sharing such a masterpeice of a documentary
