However, I really wish that Jezebel would stop with the sensationalist headlines and publish more than one type of cop story. These types of headlines (it happened again: everyone be afraid of police now) continue the cycle of fear and hatred of police officers everywhere and it makes their jobs that much harder.

I GOT FLAGGED AGAIN. Who is the behind this??? Someone who not only refuses a debate but wants to fucking silence me? HELL TO THE NO.

Pinkwashing?

Ok, I apologize upfront if this is a pile-on. NuKinja still sort of escapes me.

I came to this site via Gawker and Deadpsin a long time ago, like a lot of people do. And in the beginning, a lot of Jezebel articles bugged me. I felt like every single one was complaining, making a big deal out of one thing or another that wasn't really (too me...). But I kept reading, every day. (Thanks, art

Unfortunately, I cannot be there every time she needs to pee in public (especially now that we live on opposite sides of the country). I am glad that she got to the point where she was not at risk of her bladder bursting before she found a safe restroom, but I wish this weren't an issue.

A lot of places in SF have individual unisex bathrooms. In some cases, it's deliberate because the owners are aware of some of these issues. In other cases, there's just not enough space for two bathrooms, so the one bathroom is unisex with accessibility features.

BUT WHAT IF THEY DON'T?!?!?!

The good news is, now a bunch of dudes are going to show and state their boob preferences. If you are lucky, maybe they'll like your boobs. Then your life will be complete and the conversation be over. Can't wait.

In high school, I was informed that I was chair of the IBTC, so you should promptly remove that from your resume.

I was also given detention for responding to that particular gentleman that we couldn't all be blessed with his cleavage. I'm gonna go add that to mine.

As a brazilian I can only say that you don't know what you are talking about. The violence has different reasons and that's all. Women are being beaten to death, raped just for being in the streets, in the public transportations, in bars... We have a huge misogynistic movement that are day by day gaining more and more

Actually at the moment we DO have civil partnerships recognised by the government, we are holding a referendum next year to legalise same sex marriage and gay adoption, and the grand marshall of this years parade in Dublin is the great Colm O'Gorman, who is the openly gay executive director of Amnesty International

I think this speaks to the danger of doing what the HRC did, which was to call marriage equality the civil rights movement of our time. Not only is it a slap in the face to people still fighting for racial equality and justice, it ignores all the very real economic, political and structural violence that is inflicted

From the Chronicle article:

Sigh.

How fucking progressive of them. Meanwhile the British government is tearing apart the welfare state but hey! that's ok, see, they've got nothing against the gays.
