That’s perfectly respectable but in my opinion there are three things that really make it unique and hard to copy (meaning most/all electrics are quiet/safe/etc) and they’re; the charger network, autopilot, and have“start-up cred”.

What it needs to be, with the current hood-crease design, is both tattle-tales in the driver’s side tattle-tale light strip. It won’t be as satisfying, but it would be visible. Have one side of it flashing whenever making a turn.
Ok, the “because reasons” routine is cute and I know it’s received well by people but you should be a little less petty (even if you disagree). They had reasons. Their argument is that an L2/3 system shouldn’t be used on the road and that Tesla should’ve waited till they were L4 capable before releasing the program. I…
He didn’t call it garbage, to be fair.
Yep, I’m on the “less than 10%” track. I’m running a company with a friend. I’ve earned everywhere between $20K and $100K from this job. When I was earning around $30,000, I bought a shitbox for $800. That’s 2.7%. Now I’m earning $100K and I still drive a shitbox, but I bought this one for $1,200. I’m on track to be…
Eh, it depends who you are and what you do. I worked at a startup from the get-go and the boss was earning just shy of $900K so he bought a used S-Class and a used Porsche for around $80K total just to maintain executive looks while still being in the green, financially speaking.
I just think they have nothing else to write about. I’m sure 20% of automotive journalism is just writing things to be edgy.

Wow, this comment was 10x better than the actual article. I’ve never thought of it this way before. You should be a writer.
I’m not sure if you’re really grasping the concept of how difficult it is to increase speed. The same can be seen with efficiency. Notice how the new Prius only gets about five or six more miles per gallon than the last? It’s not because you know more than the engineers or they just got lazy, it’s that with each…
“Swede-sedan”
All I’ll say is that Mr. Musk better have sold WAY more than the sales target for this quarter because otherwise, this petty and Wall Street will see that. Perhaps Musk knew that his failing stock would fall more at the end of the quarter, and acted purely under the stress.
Not really. Not sure why it bothered you.
You might ask yourself how any business was done in the 1700s by horseback.. The answer is plenty.
That’s probably because they’re so dark, or you’ve never driven at night. I live in DC and it’s common.
“..it’s commendable that Tesla’s going this far, and has acted this quickly,”
I like it. It keeps the screen closer to a driver’s field of view, so they can keep their eyes on the road, while keeping the surface of the dashboard low so theirs no bulky looking interior.
“well shaven”
They need to change that. At leas count the B from “on-board” so it’s DOBOP, but even that sounds stupid. Maybe “Optimized On-board Dynamics Program”
