I love when Winters tells Sobel he'd rather be court-martialed than punished. He's basically calling Sobel's bluff and saying "Good luck without me" at the same time. Several scenes later, Sobel's transferred.

For a project this big that's true but most vcrs wold be fine for digitizing as long as they have s-video connections to ensure best possible quality. I've been digitizing tapes for a political archive lately and honestly can't think of a way to mistakenly hit record.
Take me to the Soviet Union!
Ground Zeroes for me. I've been gunning for S-ranks but always get distracted by something in the map. Gonna try and change that.
Actually the mgs2 demo only covered up to the Olga fight. Funny thing is you could speed run that in about 90 seconds. Incredibly meaty experience.
hmm… Not that I'm aware of. I found that link browsing through avsforums so that may be a good place to start.

THX was meant for making sure all theaters looked and sounded the same when playing the same film. Once digital sound and picture started gaining popularity it stopped being as necessary. You can still see small chains advertising it, but, in my opinion, it doesn't mean as much as it used to.
Kubrick was able to get fast low-light lenses NASA used for the moon landings and retrofitted them. He also push-developed the film to give the light a slight glow compared to other areas of the frame to enhance the period's everything-lit-by-candles look.
If you're referring to his mustache I agree. Made Ahnuld look even more ridiculous.
"Harry, I'm proud to have you following me."
It's possible but probably rare these days. The example in the lecture was a failed 2000 drama on UPN about a wealthy southern family in the 1800s. Probably not the greatest example to show.
That's actually how it is done if I remember a media lecture correctly. The show's creator writes a "bible" that basically tells the entire story from pilot to finale with all the character beats and important story developments already planned.
Its also great for long drives through pretty country.
Agreed. Listening to the hdtracks version and really like it.
I found a 75% off Rockstar sale on PS store last week and plan on plowing through LA Noire, Max Payne 3 and Midnight Club: LA. MP3 is better than I remember it being (hooray for free aim) and LA Noire, from what I've played so far, is pretty fun. Driving's pretty finicky so I'll ride passenger most of the time.…
haha. Personally I've always thought he got Abrams to direct because Cruise knew he could control JJ and not have as many clashes like with veterans De Palma or Woo.
True, but II didn't have Cruise being resurrected.
Aruba perhaps?
No, I didn't care for the movie at all even after giving it some time. I actually disliked it more than first watching it. Keep in mind the running shot shows 5'6" Cruise running past many people and he's still the tallest one. I'd take exploding sunglasses over insecurity any day (and I don't care for II much either).
