My last Grand Wagoneer got 10 on the highway. Growing up my dad had an International pick up with the 345. i remember at best he got like 6 or 7 mpg in a 2wd truck

i think about that a lot especially since my 15 year old daughter and i are building a 71 VW Karmann Ghia Convertible as her 1st car. She has an appreciation for the vintage. But we are also upgrading the brakes, wheels, tires and putting a large engine in to help even the situation. But i also own a 2001 Suburban too
