Let me clear this up for you, Alex:

Apart from live emojis, or whatever they’re called, Apple isn’t using the front camera with Kinect tech for AR/VR. They are using 2 different cameras on the back for depth mapping and AR, but Google is doing the same with 1 (albeit, with split pixel depth mapping). They aren’t the first company to use multiple sensors

So something that no one uses, and might not use is the best thing?!

I’m skeptical that the 3d camera is very useful in a phone.
