My first thought as well. I think it’s a reaction (understandable but reductive) to the Fox byline rather than to Wallace himself, who is pretty damn good at his job.

SSK was probably the best money I spent on that car, I did the Bear Motorsports one with the full billet carrier and it was gorgeous as well as feeling pretty much perfect. Clutch was really not cheap... I did an E34 M5 clutch+lightweight single mass flywheel. Dang I miss that car.

I only went as far as m50 mani/exhaust/intake/tune for power; it seemed like the next step was just a bit farther than I wanted to go. That was one of the best driving cars i’ve ever had though, the bolt-action shifter, cable throttle, loudness, and controllable feel is really memorable.
