“The dealer says that this is a good investment, because “#1 vehicles always bring big money at auction houses such as Barrett Jackson.””

Maybe they should... you know... take it to Barrett Jackson. Some charity donation on their part.

I grew up with a friend who moved from new jersey to where I live in Michigan. He was a yankee fan (somewhat understandable) and a cowboy fan. He still doesn't understand that I could have ran through the holes Emmitt Smith had and Barry Sanders was the greatest RB ever. I'm intolerante of both of those teams because

I root for the not-Yankees, not-Lakers, and not-Cowboys almost as passionately as I root for the Lions, Tigers, and Red Wings (sorry I can't be bothered to care about the NBA any more). So I appreciate this comment more than most.

Why dig up the article? I’m familiar with it. I read it. It doesn’t change the sentiment that Doug owned the car for a different reason and resale value was probably one of the most critical pieces of his adventure.

Keep in mind when he got the car he went WAY over budget. Dig that article up once and it'll probably

“I pulled over on another farm road to take some pictures. The cows nearby stared back at me. They’d never seen a car like this before, doors swinging up, white leather interior soft.”

Did you ever consider that perhaps they were just mad that some of their kind had been skinned for the seats?

Doug’s business is to own a car and write about it. An operating loss is a problem for his continued business adventures. There's a difference between Doug who needs to recoup the cost of a car within a year to buy another car and someone who buys a car to own it.

While your statement is a true statement regarding my ownership of a classic, hoarding them does prevent me from seeing them in the wild. There's a certain happiness that comes with running into a nice car in public. We are depraved of that if they're all treated as investments rather than cars.

Are you secretly Doug Demuro’s fiancé?

Read your article on here about your 370Z that is yours, but didn't have all of your finger prints. One day I may win the lottery (probably not). If I do I will own a Ferrari F40. I promise you if that day comes I'll write you and invite you for a track day.

That's not a car. That's an investment. Calling it a car implies that it will perform the functions of a car.

Hmm. Maybe he should check his privacy settings on facebook.

Take your pick. I'm pretty certain the name was not an accident.

I've done exactly that on a busy sidewalk. Someone moved around the post I didn't see coming.

When it got worse we banned the shows. Caillou is banned. Trying to think of any others we've looked at and said nope to. Definitely banned Caillou though.

Except with the rookie wage scale that's not really possible any more.

It was the first show my now 3 year old discovered. I've seen all of the episodes in the first 6 seasons at least 30 times.

Call the Curious George fire department. They never get any normal calls.

you say that now...

We need a road trip idea discussion for Doug.

West Michigan, Chicago, and Niagara Falls Canada. Drive to Chicago. Swing through the beaches of West Michigan around Labor day drive through to Canada at Port Huron and hit Niagara falls on the way back to Philly. That's at least 4 new states and another country.

“For those of you who doubted the Aston Martin’s road trip capabilities, I have this to say: neener neener neener.”

Did you say this in the mirror so you got a dose as well?

The book has arrived Doug. Your poor Ferrari.
