It’s not even that, it’s that it gets water into its systems if you dont, thus voiding your warranty. And Tesla is happy to void your warranty, regardless of their shitty design being the cause of the water ingress.

That is perfectly fine. But not using it on the CT resulted in water ingress into he electrical system which needed a 5 hour reboot (and probably corroding wires soon after that). And voiding of the warranty (not just mirrors, wipers, etc.).
