Two things:
Two things:
That’s not a double standard, unless people that are against catcalling are fine with it when women do it. When have you ever heard people standing up for the [largely imaginary] women that catcall? This is what’s known in the biz as a “strawman argument.”
You don’t understand, the cage those OTHER republican want for women is GILDED cage with nice fluffy pillows and scented candles, so it’s okay.
Jack Antonoff = Roseanne
“Sodium lauryl sulfate is known to cause skin irritation to some who come in contact with the compound, and although it was once investigated by the American Cancer Society as a possible carcinogen. SLS, as it is also known, is found in many hair shampoos and toothpastes.”
This whole ugly affair is turning into such a soap opera, but I am one gent who will not be deter’d
Privacy goes both ways and I think activists need to stop having tunnel vision when it comes to issues of privacy and freedom of expression. Those same laws that prevent them from doxxing rapists found guilty in the school system, also protect the privacy of victims, and you can’t have one without the other. And in…
I think you just indulged in your own pseudo-intellectual spin and rationalization.
Or, OR Fulton and McBath are adults and are chosing to support a candidate based on their experiences.
Yikes Jen. The snark was completely unnecessary. If Beyoncé spoke out against this or Taylor, we'd see something change. Clearly the justice system is not doing anything about it. Why can't women unify and do something about it? Team Demi!
I took it more of a unified call to action. If the Beyoncé’s and the Taylor’s of the music industry called this bullshit out, it would override the fucked up system and Sony will have to do something about it. There's no other artist male or female bigger than those two. Their voices have power.
I think she did a good job of calling out everyone.
Not really seeing where Demi’s blaming feminists? Besides, I thought we were all in agreement that after this ruling, the only way Kesha would be able to receive what she wants is through pressure on Sony from inside the industry itself.
I don’t think the snark towards Demi Lovato’s tweets was really necessary. Those pictures of Kesha were pretty heartbreaking. I think the snark should be reserved for “feminist” musicians who are saying nothing about the situation.
Personally, I think it’s great that on the Democrat side we have two really intelligent, qualified candidates with their primary disagreement bringing to light something that really maters. I think it ‘s a healthy thing for democracy. And we are so lucky compared to the clown car that is the GOP nomination process.
I know what it is. I’ve always secretly suspected that Barack Obama smells really, really frickin’ good. Just like a naturally calming, light kind of scent like baby powder and honey, with a faint note of clove for example.
Wow. That’s heavy. Here’s my thought: Send the kids to a friend’s house and lay it out on the table. Don’t fuck around. Tell him your suspicions and tell him how high the stakes are. Having this bomb just sitting there underneath your relationship is not good for anyone.
Oh, my goodness. I could gaze at this photo all day long! The stories behind each one of those father-daughter duos, and the moms would be mind blowing. I agree with the other poster, how about some Hollywood stories about black Americans that don’t require us to drive you, serve you or get unnescessarily shot, beat…
I would always rather know. I wouldn’t necessarily end a relationship over being cheated on if my partner was honest with me about it (depending on a million other factors, obviously), but I would absolutely end a relationship if I was cheated on and found out by some means other than my partner coming clean.
Because our culture consistently devalues the stories of survivors of sexual assault and gives a pass to their abusers, particularly when they are athletes or public figures.
