@lilkeith7: I did that for years. My host computer was on 24-7. Then I bought one of those Kill-A-Watt devices and measured the power I was using. It was costing me $8 per month.

I think it's pretty awesome. All the hate in the comments is just jealousy.

Roofing is such a great example. It's difficult physically and requires specialized skills and knowledge. Plus the results of doing it wrong can be costly damage to your home.

9 times out of 10 it wouldn't make sense for me to do it myself, but I simply love to flex my creative ingenuity.
