How about using random foreign languages, kind of like how Flickr greets me in a different foreign language each time I log in.

@CJG: I agree wholeheartedly. I find the gmail ads much less intrusive than ads on MANY other sites. I do run Adblock however.

What are these "pricier methods"? Photoshop? Any comparison photos so we can see the difference between SmillaEnlarger and said pricer methods?

Seems like it would work better with a black or dark surface. White parchment paper will only slow you down.

One thing notoriously missing from linux that has been an issue for me is Flash support. sure flash works, but it's always an slightly older, less compatible version. My kids would be running linux if they could use the flash websites (i.e. webkins)

Content on demand is the future. That will include apps as well as movies, music and other data.

Even at $1 per visit I could make a fortune fixing computers for friend and family.

@MCWHAMMER: There are no secret motive for tawker not working. It just broke and I didn't have a chance to fix it.

To avoid discussing monthly fees with the salesman, just tell them your buying it outright and get your load elsewhere.
