I love audacity, but I find the windows version not as good as the linux version, I think it stays a few revs behind? There were some missing features in the windows version that I can't remember now, I've been using Cubase LE for so long.

The only use I see is comparing your mileage to others with the same car to help you find out if something is wrong with your car.

The example images are not stellar. I guess if you don't have Photoshop and your too lazy to learn GIMP and you don't use Picasa to upload to flickr it might be ok.
