So I just watched the season finale and promptly cancelled CBS All Access. Not that I hate Discovery, I damn well loved it. I just love that I don’t have to keep a service around that isn’t showing a damn thing I’m interested in. I can’t wait for Season 3 and the Picard series. I’ll resubscribe when those come around.

Judging by the GIF, this is a movie version of Dragon Quest V (at least Part I of it). The blue turban and the tiger character suggest as much.

“the alleged killer who live-streamed the attack identified himself as FUCK FACE”

And I expect fans to not be pretentious twats but, hey, life is full of disappointments.

Milestones: When they can poop in the potty. When they can eat a bowl of cereal without spilling it everywhere. When they can wipe their own ass. When they can dress themselves. When you can leave them in the backyard without worrying they’ll drown in a well/pond/river, or dying in the street. When you can trust them

This just in: Water is wet.

Right, and that’s why the localization team was right to change them. It’s better to carry on as much of the intent of the line as possible, even if it means changing or removing the original content.

The Prime directive exists mostly as a way to generate plot, but can we talk about how dumb it is? Like, every time we see it in action, we get a new example of how stupid it is as an idea.

It hit me tonight that the Red Angel is actually a future version of Q, so changed by his experiences with Picard that he becomes a multidimensional superhero. And since he’s a Q, he doesn’t experience time the same way and jumps all over time and space...like a certain future apprentice of his. But that’s a whole

I thought the Ba’ul were going to be the Kelpians who survived their vahar’ai, but that didn’t pan out. The Kelpians as predators could be interesting, though, if Saru’s attitude change is an indication.

Justice for Doma in FFVI! The Garamonde family may rest in peace but who knows if Cyan does

Could you just fix this - “Will Nintendo Switch Online might be...” - please? Just remove, “might”. OCD is kicking in.  :-)

Is that a “co-op” icon I see?

The SMB3 Angry Sun can rot in hell.

And even those of us who don’t own a Switch are going to get some entertainment out of it:

Now playing

Kevin the Dalek is a direct reference to an old Eddie Izzard sketch....

Oh I betcha we’ll see the briefest shot in the last episode of S2!

Japan clearly hates grass types because Chespin and Turtwig are fucking adorable.

Yes, but what is preferable: spending hours digging through the library for the six hundredth time trying to find some random reference to a spell, or using Wizard Google to just bring that spell or potion up on Wizard Wikipedia?

I still a remember a glitch in the old Mac version (and maybe others, IDK) where you could set your tax rate to like 20% all year, and change it right before the end of the year, and you’d be rolling in dough AND have a happy citizenry.
