The cool thing is that the new rules allow a diffuser (which is a type of spoiler) to also function as a wing. Double whammy improvement.

Aero is still vastly underused in racing. Too many improvements alter the looks of a vehicle significantly enough to be disallowed. That said, factory vehicles are becoming lower drag every year. This means massive gains in racing as aerodynamic drag increases exponentially with speed.

No doubt. But we would be happy, haha.

GlaryUtilities. Especially good for those who aren’t computer savvy. I’ve walked many an amateur through the install and use to get their system out of the doghouse. Not appropriate for advanced users but amazingly idiot proof for the average person.

The Z Cars should be to Nissan what Scion is to Toyota.

To play the devels advocate here I’d point out that working on cars just isn’t terribly glorious.

Reading comprehension. I stated how I’d spend the same money. In fact, it’s not all that dirrerent from my actual setup. We have three Volvo wagons (one daily, one beater, one project), an S60 track only, a forced induction Miata that is still technically street legal, and an Astro tow van. Even though there is just

My point is that the mix of a daily and a track toy is not even practical let alone smart.

Wrap the takeout container in a towel. Works much longer.

I still struggle to understand the appeal of compromising on a vehicle to have a daily/tracktoy.

Ah, you mean American schools.

Same here. As it probably is with many enthusiasts. But it appears the mainstream public is unaware. The idea of the old ubiquitous minivan towing a 5,000 lb travel trailer (which could be pretty damn long) blows their minds.

I looked up and down but for a tow vehicle you need a 96 or 97. 96 was the first year of the better trans. Remember the early explorers having failed transmissions until the model year 95 change? The Aerostar didn’t get the new trans till 96 and 97 was the last model year. That makes for some pretty limited vehicles

Not sure I follow you

EXACTLY

The L35 doesn’t have a throttle body to intake manifold gasket.

Want a perfect jalopnik car with miles on it but well taken care of? Look on Phoenix Craigslist for my 92 Volvo 740 wagon. If the interior alone doesn’t make you believe it was well maintained over it’s 208xxx mile life I don’t know what to tell ya. Used cars with miles have quirks but it also means it has been

Your point is solid but almost none of it applies to this Supra. Like many many classics before it the thing was likely stored properly and maintained. Weather fluctuations? Really? On a car that has been kept in a climate controlled garage ...
