The Washington Mickey Rooneys in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Nah, the fans will buy out all that stuff at a premium out of love of “tradition.” Then they will but all the new stuff. They are going to get a windfall out of this.
Yes, closeted men are so happy when their life partner/mother of their children/best friend dies after a horrible long term illness. It’s truly a bright spot in their already extra emotionally complicated life.
Or maybe you are a complete and total homophobic asshole in even the most generous reading of your comment…
Great first paragraph! Kinda lost me on the second.
Whoa hoping its replaced with a somehow worse name just to show nobody has a fucking clue how to read a room. I'm guessing the Washington Columbus Confederacy.
This is astounding. I have no medical background, but it seems like it should be pretty obvious that an antibiotic wouldn’t prevent a virus. That’s high school biology, not even AP.
This, and same goes for doctors. I have met so many doctors who seem to care less about medicine. They’re obviously there because it pays well or the prestige or because dad said to become a doctor. Been chronically ill for the past 19 years.
I’m not a nurse, but I work in health care, and I find that describes a pretty big swath of all health care workers. I have had to block dozens and dozens of colleagues on my professional Facebook groups, not just for not understanding how viruses and masks work, but for posting that they wish COVID would wipe out…
It doesn’t help that you can be a nurse just by getting a two year degree (I’m not at all putting down a two year degree, its great for many fields of work, just not nursing). There needs to be stricter education requirements. Two of my best friends are nurses, but one got a BS before she went to nursing school, and…
My brother-in-law, a DOCTOR, and his wife, who also works in the medical field alongside him, just sent us an evite.
There are an alarming number of nurses who go into the field just because compared to other choices, it pays them okay, not because they have an inherent desire to care for people. And of those, many just scrape through. There’s no implicit assurance of broad intelligence. I understand that at this time we’re all here…
Coincidently, or not, there is also a f-ton of nurses around the country who are outing thrmselves racist twunts, and getting fired.
She should be charged with a crime. You can’t be in a position of responsibility over others’ health (let alone your own child’s!) and be this negligent.
I work in a medical office as clinical staff and I sometimes just can’t believe the conspiracy theories being thrown around the break room by the nursing staff
There are an alarming number of nurses buying into crazy conspiracy theories about COVID-19, or who are dismissing it as no big deal. This shit has very real consequences.
The first time I ever saw those glasses with the cobalt tops was literally in Mexico (Rocky Point) when my mom fell in love with them and decided to buy a set. I was confused for years about how friends’ families who had never been to Mexico ended up with those glasses. Oops.
“and, inexplicably, a fondu pot.”
Pier 1 was where you went when you graduated college and officially became an adult. It was affordable and somewhat luxurious for early 20-somethings. Remember those beautiful hand-blown thick glassware with the cobalt blue tops? I probably spent the better part of my 20s in Pier 1.
