To be fair this has been pretty status quo. A low buget guy with skills is easier to control than established director with leverage. So its a solid studio gamble to push out a focus group tested film with little pushback. And the studio looks risky by hiring an indie creative even though its just a guise to make

Trevorrow is a bad-mediocre director and seems like a shitty-mediocre person.

That show is so much better than it has any right to be. I wish more people were aware of it. It’s SO GOOD.

Trevorrow being rewarded Jurassic World and Josh Trank getting Fantastic Four are absolutely baffling Hollywood decisions.

Now playing

Yeah if anything, Trevorrow’s previous two films really have uncomfotable subtext that he favors women being mothers rather than having careers or a life outside of the home in general. It also doesn’t help that the guy who wrote the script to The Book of Henry was a former student of Jordan Peterson. I’m just saying

She was definitely the MVP of the first half of season 5.

Alia Shawkat is just great on Search Party. On paper her self-involved milennial character should be awful and insufferable, and she is, but Shawkat just makes her so soulful and relateable. Well, except when she isn’t. A really rich, real performance despite the cartoonish aspects of the show.

I think it’s really sad that Shawkat feels bad about not saying enough. She was the youngest person in the room, and shouldn’t be tasked with telling a bunch of grown men who are seasoned professionals to maybe let Walter be heard about something she experienced. That’s the kind of courtesy they should be capable of

Given the shitshow she had to deal with I can see why she wasn’t bringing her a-game. Part of the reason Arrested worked in the past was because the cast was clearly having a lot of fun, and I’m not sure that’s true anymore.

+100. This is theft, not the plot of Les Mis. I fucking DESPISE theft of goods and services, files, data, whatever.

All-Star is curiously unchanged. I mean, yes, it’s certainly altered, and takes half the time, but its essential Smashmouthness of it all survives perfectly in tact. It neither loses nor gains anything except duration.

Um.... walking out on a bill isn’t “weed culture”... it’s “being an entitled ass culture”.

More like Rough Criminal

sounds like whats happening to every single one of my cds.

I hope they find them, and then prosecute the fuck out of them.

This is fine and all, but can we can update on his girlfriend? Heard it was serious.

This is, let us say, problematic.

The only one which sticks out in my mind for Fallout 4 was Vault 118 in the Far Harbour DLC, which had a pristine vault hidden under a hotel where all of the inhabitants had turned themselves into Robobrains. The quest in there was brilliant as well, it was a murder mystery..with robots!

This amazing write up makes me kind of sad that I never played New Vegas. Has it aged it okay? I’m guessing it hasn’t.
