So, anybody have any suggestions for good classic lesbian/queer woman music? I have a pretty good idea of it for non-hetero men (Madonna, Tina Turner, Cher, etc.), and there’s for sure some overlap there, but in general my knowledge of non-het female culture is lacking, and I want to fix that. So like KD Lang, Melissa

I knew it was good, and all my friends kept telling me to, and it still took me a while to watch it (caught up by season 4 when it came out). I find it hard to binge because of how depressing it is even though it’s simultaneously hilarious. Compare that to like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend which is also depressing and

I think it’s a joke

That it took 8 years for Debra Granik (Leave No Trace) to get the funding to make another movie after Winter’s Bone is kind of crazy. She talks about it a bit in this interview:

(at the risk of explaining the joke, Green Book : BlacKKKlansman :: Driving Miss Daisy : Do The Right Thing.)

Carrot sticks are fine without (though still are better for a dip). I like how a lot of sushi and Japanese places season their edamame: salt the shell post-steam.

I’m relieved to hear that she’s hospitalized/being evaluated and didn’t die by suicide. I love her music (hilarious, unabashed, frank, sexually catholic, perfect for remixes with Wii Shop music) and am sending the best to both the recovery of her physical body and for her to have all the support she needs for her

*eyeroll* Just because they’re long and just because they have spectacle doesn’t mean they’re like movies. Also, are people still making the comparison that TV shows are somehow lesser than movies?

You married the woman from 50 First Dates?

There’s no vegetable or meat out there that on its own doesn’t need salt of some kind at the minimum. (At least none that I’m aware of.)

But if your standards are low enough where mediocre and “good enough” makes for a watchable movie, then it’s great!

Oh to have the time again to spend on C-level stuff

Can’t wait to see it win the Oscar for best SFX for the most realistic CGI of unrealistic body images.

Plus Bruce Vilanch has been doing it for so long he could write the jokes in his sleep. (Does Bruce Vilanch still write the Oscars? I haven’t thought about it since Dan Harmon won an Emmy and he talked about his experiences working with him)

You have “LA Hallucinations” over that? That one is my least favorite on the album, but I’m also less into songs about how great cities are (except Chicago because of obvious bias).

Yeah, this finally gets across that he might have actually reflected and knows WHY his homophobic jokes were shitty (and I still haven’t heard how beating your child because they have non-gender normative behavior is funny?). There’s actually a sense that he listened to people instead of being victimized by his own

If all you know CRJ from is “Call Me Maybe” (which is still a perfect pop song despite how overplayed it was), then there’s a whole album (plus B-sides) for you to discover that’s full of pure pop wonderment. I’m excited for you today :) (also Tom Hanks stars in her music video for “I Really Like You”, and how can you

Though with Rostam only producing some of the songs and not being a full-time band member anymore, it’s going to be... different. Probably still good, but I’m tempering expectations.

Ummmmmm............ where in the hell is Queen of Bops Carly Rae Jepsen? “Party for One” was the new single released late 2018 from her untitled and unscheduled new album, but it should be happening sometime this year.
