So funny how everyone here would agree with Sean’s sentament that you should not drive beyond what you can see, but then people are saying the car was in the wrong for driving so slowly. The sun was blinding everyone on that road. If you can barely see past the hood of your car, how fast are you supposed to go?

Except the car wasnt stopped dead in the road....

I am on no high horse. If he was fully repentant he would have said “I was riding way too fast for the conditions and ruined another drivers day (and car)“, not “I had rear ended a car that was travelling extremely slow for no apparent reason".

Too bad the bike rider couldnt have used the same discretion as the car.

I like how he puts in that the car was driving too slow after talking about how he was slowing down and thinking of stopping because he couldn’t see. If you’re slowing down, maybe someone already did. In this case it sounds like they didn’t need to, but that doesn’t change the fact that he should have been expecting

I love this part here where he tries to offload blame on the car...

Where do you live? I want to tear it down your street at 120 while shooting my gun out my sunroof, cause YOLO. Please make sure your kids are playing in the yard while I do it.

I flash my brakes at them first 3 times, if they continue to tailgate I slow down until they go around. This is of course on 2 lane roads. On 4 lane roads I am in the right lane 99% of the time (unless passing). Looks like the guy got what was coming to him IMO.

In Europe, with more close ties to the EE than the US, VW gave screwed over owners a big fat nothing, at least you got the $1,000 credit!

What neighborhood do you live in so I can tear it up?

CHP is not the SDPD.

such an asshole move. Keep your hand wringing to yourself you sack of shit.

Love his attitude. Can we donate to the prosecution?

Frog is the CH-46.

I am not British, but the actual words that jumped into my head upon looking at that photo were, “that’s bloody magnificent.”

Tyler, do not associate my magic school bus with a Toyota Camry. That’s an insult. You can’t fit 30+ dudes equipped to kill in a Camry.

#4. I’ll do this (or park) if I’m stopped for a few minutes not to save fuel but to reduce heat in the transmission. When you’re stopped or going slow, the transmission decouples the engine from the wheels through the torque converter which is a turbine based hydraulic pump/motor combination. When the crank shaft and

If they slap Golf R bits into my Sportwagen to replace the offending TDI bits, we cool...in a Marcellus Wallace and Butch from Pulp Fiction sort of way. I won't kill them, but I don't want to see them either.

Wallace and Gromit got there first and better.

I’m the worst possible reader for this column in that (a) I’ve owned a 996 C2, a 996 TT, and a 997 C2S, and have my own opinions, and (b) am so technically incompetent that the most advanced work I’ve ever done on my own car is swapping out the amber side markers for clear ones (or perhaps the one time I changed my
