About half of the women in the entire world have straight hair and are not white. It’s insulting and very ethnocentric to reduce everything that is not black to white.

“white people’s hair”

I don’t know. I can see it becoming big with the teen set in Japan. Or even gaining popularity in India for weddings for brides.

Dear Clover, sweet Clover, white people =/= straight hair. I know. Shocking. The truth is there are more curly haired white people than you realize. The reason why you don’t see more of them is because either they straighten their hair out like Michael Sheen does often or they keep it close cropped like Justine

Ssssshhhh... we'll all get banned for pointing out the obvious prejudice. Then the author will accuse us of "making it all about race".

Wouldn’t black people be the only group that this wouldn’t work for? I would imagine, Asians, Indians, Native Americans, Inuits, Middle Eastern, (white) latinos, and pretty much every other group could do hair tattoos.

Sigh. How did I know, in a Clover Hope post, that this was going to be made into about race. Black girls can wear this if - as many do - they use relaxer in their hair. Many white girls can’t wear this, because they have curly hair, unless they, like the black girls, straighten theirs. Quit making it about race just

Teen Vogue, you have no idea what I’m thinking. I was thinking it was something stupid and it is.

She’s obviously white as well. Look at her straight hair.

TIL that only Caucasians have straight hair.

Ummm only white people have straight hair?
