(sorry I am so eager to engage with you, this is my first time participating on SNS and also talking to a fellow PTSD fighter and I am just so excited!)

I agree with Hannibal. EMDR is intense, and at first, I thought it was easier for me to quit going, but after the storm that followed each session, I felt so much better than ever before, that I kept going. It has now been a year since I began therapy, and I can honestly say that I am the happiest I have been in

It is such an incredible podcast! Have you heard the episode with Bessel van der Kolk? PTSD feels so isolating and for the longest time I could not verbalize just how terrrible it is, but then I heard that episode and cried because I had never felt so understood. Or hopeful.

Think of your (possible) trip as an opportunity to gain a new perspective on things. There is so much guilt in taking care of ourselves when depressed...but you are so worth it!

I am sorry you are going through this! But you are so strong! (You are seeking help, which is sometimes the hardest thing to do)

If you get the chance, try brainspotting. It is EMDR on crack... with talk therapy it takes years to see results, EMDR takes months, and brainspotting takes days.

Bahh! Por supuesto lo van a vender ahora que por fin decido ser parte! jeje, me siento starstruck de que respondiste mi mensaje.

Sorry, I published my answer before i meant to! I know how lonely and misunderstood one feels when dealing with PTSD, but this episode of on being gave me so much hope!

Hola chocolatechipcookies! Hace mucho tiempo que leo SNS, pero es mi primera vez participando. No te imaginas cuanto disfruto leerte! Eres una persona tan dulce y sincera! :)

Hi Springboard! Have you tried EMDR or brainspotting?
