When 127 Hours came out, someone asked me in a crowded elevator if I’d seen it. I said “I want to, but it sounds too long...” and someone behind me audibly groaned. I still well up with pride when I think about it.

I’m sorry, I usually stay out of this, but this is a miserable take.
I didn’t know they owned the Magic..well fuck the magic now
The internet is so hilarious: put up a blog post saying a 39-43 record is the effective ceiling for this team, then act defensive when people who actually pay attention to the team remind you that was a dumb thing to say.
Since you like to dismiss comments, I have no idea if someone has already told you this, and it was just dismissed, so I’ll just go ahead and tell you:
The story’s author takes us into the living room of Johnstown resident Pam Schilling, a 60-year-old retiree who is already keyed up to vote for Trump in 2020:
“Greater than/less than” symbols beyond the education level of your average Stoolie, to the surprise of nobody.
Kids please....Do Not Play On The Grassy Knoll In Dallas.
Plus Mayweather said this about Pacquiao:
Neither of them is a hero, but I too am confused how Mayweather, the proven woman beater, who actually beats up women, reasonably often, is a better human than Connor, who said some cringe worthy things.
Very true. Mayweather is a POS. I don’t know much about McGregor’s actions but he has always been playing an over the top character. His racist trolling, however abhorrent, cannot compare to Mayweather’s actual documented history of beating women. Also, Mayweather himself has said racist things about Asians so…
Christ, your tabling of Mayweather’s domestic abuse and misogyny for the sake of this article is not only pathetic but unprofessional and worthy of scorn. No matter how much you hate the man, McGregor is not near as monstrous as Mayweather. Have you read the note his kid wrote about watching Mayweather beat up his mom…
We debated this one for a while trying to parse out Scherzer’s exact string of words, though some of them are pretty obvious. I think we’ve settled on “fucking bastard motherfucking bitch motherfucker” and now I can’t see it any other way.
He is literally everything the GOP claims to hate.
I think it’s kind of sad how he sidelined his own best judgment in deference to a figure of authority, an authority whose own judgment is not to be questioned, and it cost him his own better interests while only furthering the narrow interests of the organization that authority represents.
Man, people sure have a strange way of expressing their economic insecurity.
