Two publications that both broke stories about public figures committing sexual misconduct within hours of each other. It’s an easy mistake to make and it doesn’t make their criticism any less valid.
Here’s the simple fact: The Washington Post did journalism the right way, and Jezebel did not.
Exactly. They don’t do any actual work, just sharing random rumours isn’t ground breaking journalism.
If the rumors prove to be true no one at Jezebel gets to gloat. They were beyond reckless in how they handled (and continue to handle) this story. The NYT are the ones that put in the work to actually get to the truth, not just putting out a call for someone to do their jobs for them.

No you don't. You make minimum wage. Companies are allowed to pay you less if whatever they want to pay you plus your tips equals or exceeds minimum wage. If you including tips make less that minimum wage, your company has to pay the deficit to ensure you end up with at least minimum wage.
I checked that link a little bit ago. Depending on how the job is classified, and which state the person lives in, he/she can definitely make only$4.80 per hour, which is the true crime.
The issue lies with the industry not being forced to pay the regular minimum wage. Paying you so little per hour should be illegal since your livelihood essentially relies on the charity of others.
