I don’t know if it was ever on the box but it certainly was in the marketing push. It wasn’t a joke originally, though they’ve later joked about it:

There’s a very simple solution. The one ARK works with.
Try to start the game and you get options before launching:
- With anticheat: Global MP as normal (official servers)
- Without anticheat: Global MP in an uncontrolled environment (unofficial servers only) meaning you will be joining servers with cheaters... OR just…
Which again makes this specific case less interesting.
Either way I just wish people would fuckin’ learn something and stop harrassing people either way.
New things come to light, but either way the take away should be this:
1: Unions
2: Fight for decent pay and residuals for VA’s that mean so much to these games but are paid a fraction of a drop of the profits
Her specific…
She’s a top streamer on twitch which is one of the areas they often write about.
For better and for worse.
Again, unless prenup. I’m pretty sure Texas citizens can have those too.
I really wanted the Diablo 2 remake to play with my colleagues, but glad I held out.
There are other games.
I don’t think generation is super relevant.
You could just as well pull up how (particularly white male) boomers and older X’ers had different values and constantly rib others (face to face) with gender, age, skin colour, nationality and ability “jokes”, and a LOT of it wasn’t really publicly frowned upon before maybe…
Oh no,
Oh no,
Oh no...
Oh no you DIDN’T
There are many, many, MANY multiplayer games that you can play expressly as co-op with the friends you choose and no one else. That is not an outlandish concept. It was also one of the things they said was coming, but when it then DID come, it was then paywalled behind a subscription, on top of a full game price.
And…
You talk about a narrative, but I’m discussing MY experiences with the game, like I said. Including griefers.
I’m glad that you don’t feel it’s overmuch, but one bad interaction very rarely is enough to remind me, viscerally, that this ISN’T a single player game, and isn’t for me... and instead I had one really GOOD…
So, first, I also hated that there were no human NPC’s as a flavor thing - that’s subjective. Great that it doesn’t apply for you; it does for a lot of people.
It just makes the world feel more dead, less exciting. The feeling of being a part of a society trying to survive after the ultimate ending is gone, and other pl…
Nope he’s in all of them. But he did have more lines in 1-NV given that he narrates multiple endings; in 4 the ending narration is by the Sole Survivor. And I don’t believe FO76 has endings?
Yeah I do feel like they’re a pretty known quantity by now, but FO76 did kinda throw a spanner in the works for a lot of people.
That said, since this is a single player experience, I’d go by the same historical assumptions you have.
And for the price of GamePass I’m definitely in, even if it looks soulless to me.
Look I KNOW what you mean, but still that felt like a stab at Ron Perlman and it makes me a bit sad
Are you.. for real? I can’t tell if this is internet sarcasm.
In case it’s not: In this article we’re specifically talking ~$20 indie games, not $70 AAA. It’s an important distinction when setting the tone and how to discuss the issue, because corpo/shareholder greed is a much bigger issue at the higher echelons.
An…
It seems to me that there’s a lot more media writing about this Pratt-hateboner than there’s actual hate to be found most places I look.
Most people I see discussing it (and commenters on the trailer) don’t seem to give two shits either way and if anything are just excited about Jack Black and/or a cool Mario movie.
“A…
“Cheap” postpaid subscriptions are $90 in the US - really?? If that’s true, holy shit.
Some of our cheaper postpaid plans in DK are around $16 (incl. tax) for unlimited calls, unlimited texts, 30 GB data, and international call plan w. 10 GB data that covers half the world.
Increases in price is usually just for more…
I thought it was the first reason to begin with but as he goes over to full 3D platforming later, I think it may have been intentional design
No it absolutely WAS doomed from the start, because of that asinine business model. The tech was always cool, and they chose to kill it by making it a service no one wanted.
