Yes, I am burning a bunch of fuel. I payed for it, so suck it. It's my fuel, and I can do what I want with it.

I love the Venza and think it's fantastic. I almost bought one, and I'm seriously looking at one again.

One thing I think is important to remember are the laws and amount of insurance. If I remember correctly the law requires almost unlimited coverage for liability in the UK or Europe, while in the US that is most definitely not the case.

As someone pointed out yesterday, not all roads he was on are 30 (which is just stupid slow). In fact, some have 55 MPH limits which makes the 66 not too much over the limit.

Holy crap...this is mesmerizing. It's like a hypnotic device...

I thought that using a DNS outside of your ISP could significantly affect quality of some things such as Netflix? I thought I read something that DNS is what determines where you are and then you get routed to the appropriate CDN...and if you change your DNS you could end up with a CDN that isn't ideal.

Good to hear! I wasn't trying to poo all over Honda. My only experience is my uncles older Honda Accord, and he says it's pretty common for Honda's to consume oil. Just anecdotal, nothing concrete. :)

IMO sucking down 3 quarts between changes on a new car means something is horrifically wrong. Although, I have heard that Honda's in particular are known for their oil consumption.

Just to play devils advocate, but I don't recall the cops busting in and arresting the CEO of Samsung because Apple accused them of copyright infringement.

I think the bigger issue is the sheer size of the US and the speed of the trains vs the incumbent air travel. Take for example a flight I used to make pretty frequently from Phoenix to Denver and back. I could regularly get those flights from Southwest for $120 round trip and the flight is about 1.5 hours.

Agreed. I worked all through college with different jobs, and I still have the student loans to prove it. The school I went to wasn't cheap, and that was MY CHOICE. Although, I'm not sure if SHE is asking for help or if people saw she was short and are pitching in. There is a huge difference IMO.

I can't believe you threw out the NACHO CHEESE! Eh, it tastes good with chips but don't get too caught up in the "cheese" moniker. :)

I have never heard anyone EVER say that drum brakes are better at stopping than disc brakes.

No.

I figured it was something like this. I still find it ridiculous that in order to meet regulations and/or limit themselves for liability they have to make a sub-standard product. It's stupid.

Haha, good point. But at least Apple is minimally hackable with a ton of third party accessories.

Although I use Android in my vehicle (AppRadio2), I really wish Apple well in their endeavors to improve the in-car tech. I don't care what BMW/Audi/MB/Lexus/etc. say, their in-car systems suck ass.

I have a Pioneer AppRadio2 with a rooted Verizon Razr HD running ARLiberator. It's my phone, that is my deck. Always connected, with all the features of Android right there ready to go anytime I want. I have Torque running constantly connected to my bluetooth OBD receiver, Pandora/Google Music, Waze/Google Navigation

Here's my issue with the government paying for research and what you describe; they're not provided for in the Constitution, defense is. So yes, it pisses me off that things that are constitutionally provided are being reduced (defense) while other non-Constitutionally provided benefits are eating more and more of my

That block of metal is freaking gorgeous.
