I know my reply is late, since I just learned of this engine today. As soon as I read “45° crank throws” I knew the engine was firing two cylinders at once as a pair of V8's. A real V16 like on the Caddy concept Sweet 16, would have 22.5° crank throws. Me, I WANT my 2-trillion dollar mega-car to sound exotic...not

Thank you!! You are right, this is a big bang engine, firing as two V8's. It is indeed firing two cylinders at once. To be a true V16, the crank would have 16 throws at 22.5° apart to fire one cylinder at once; the camshaft matching.

HP 1, V16 0...This is a big bang engine, firing as two V8's. Physically beautiful, but if it were my buck I would ask Steve to redesign the crankshaft with 22.5° throws and make matching camshaft. I love the sound of a true V16.

After watching and HEARING the short dyno run, this engine is NOT a V16, but just two V8's with one block and crankshaft/cam shaft. This very much IS a big bang engine, firing two cylinders at once. With 45° crank throws this proves it to be two V8's firing as two V8's. To be a one-cylinder-at-a-time true V16, the

I was very disappointed when I watched the very short dyno part of the video with the engine revving. No, this is NOT a true V16! This is two V8's in one block and on one crankshaft, a big bang engine that IS firing two cylinders at once. The crank throws on this engine are at 45°. A real V16 crank will have 22.5°
