…the Syrians aren't immigrating from Mexico. In fact barely any are immigrating into this country, most of the immigration is happening across European borders. We're accepting ~10,000 immigrants this year, a drop in the bucket compared to our total population of hundreds of millions.

That was definitely unlike anything else, which is what I want to see.

Yeah, I really dug the first season. Funny, uplifting, educational, it has such a great core it made every wobbly bit feel like disappointment. Really glad to hear season 2 is an improvement, but I hope it keeps the weird spirit that makes this unlike everything else. Though reading here that they got Roman Coppola

Well that's probably why you didn't notice anything, it's more from the perspective of people who used to watch 30-40 shows suddenly finding themselves watching 60-70 in order to keep up.

Pretty good list, but would have picked Rose McIver over Anders, add Olyphant and Goggins to the duo section (or at least Sam Freakin' Elliot to guest star) and Brooklyn Nine-Nine should be in the cast section.

That felt like an almost deliberate prompt for Big Finish. Moffat going "here you go guys, you gotta get at least four boxsets out of this setup".

HELL YEAH, CRIMSON PEAK!

Thanks

95% of the time it's not gory at all. Violence actually isn't a big part of most of the series, only punctuating big moments every couple of episodes until the insane final fourth of the season. In that section, limbs get cut off, people get graphically ridden with bullets, they filmed actual live births, it's kind of

How do I quote like I'm running out of time? How do I quote every second I'm alive? Every second I'm alive?

It can be two things! Or, more accurately, a hundred things!

I wasn't being literal, it's a hyperbole about how the show literalizes and focuses on the characters' friendship above all other elements.

Look at where we are
Look at where we started
The fact that TV got so good is a miracle

Great list of performances, only thing I'd add is Rachel Bloom, who's doing knockout level work.

That's great to hear!

My apologies, I just wanted to point out what I saw as hypocrisy in the amount of attention, but I realize now pitting those two shows against each other is silly.

Good henchmen die too soon, that's the Justified way.

Oh yeah, my other interpretation, she was setting the table for him.

The pilot has the most Maura, but she slowly fades into the background. Can barely remember what she did in the finale.

"mild corrective" Are you serious, guy literally thought he had to explain to me one of the most popular genres in the world, like I'm stupid, I'm not stupid.
