Not really? We got more Suzanne, Pennsatucky, and Taystee this year after their promotions, and Nicky got about the same amount of attention.

But Glee did win a directing award for the Pilot and Jane Lynch and Neil Patrick Harris picked up acting awards. Plus it was nominated in the main category that year and next, which is more than it ever deserved. It's not an award for the most buzz, but it definitely helps.

Breaking Bad was pretty funny too. I think OitNB just tips over to the drama side for me, though I understand why it's submitting in Comedy.

It'd be a funny bookend too, since the first run also won an Emmy in its last season for the Roswell episode.

That's basically it, there's no extreme effort on her part beyond showing up and being her amazing self. She already has decades of award worthy work under her belt, and she already has two Emmy wins as a courtesy. Time to give awards to the actresses who need it (Heady) or deserve it (Gunn).

Now I'm afraid OitNB and Veep are going to cancel each other out. I'd be fine with either one winning honestly, I just think OitNB is more likely due to its far larger public presence.

Did you know in the Emmy's 60+ year history, a piece of sporting equipment has never been nominated for an acting award? It's a real crime, they need to get a civil rights lawyer or something to look at that. I mean, to have all the great work Salmon Ladder did this year get snubbed for Jim Carter? Disgraceful.

Actually, just winning the Oscar significantly boosts McConaughey's chances. Emmy voters always get star struck.

Veep had their chance and failed. I bet Orange is the New Black will finally trump Modern Family. Sure, it's unconventional, but it also has that "buzz" Emmy voters like to reward. If buzz was enough to get Modern Family up there the first year and stay there, surely OitNB's buzz can help it stage an Emmy coup.
