Why is ABC still putting comedies on Tuesday? Isn't the broken corpses of Happy Endings, Don't Trust the B, and Trophy Wife sign enough to stop? Ah well, when Selfie is cancelled a year from now I hope Gillian, Cho, and Kapnek will find new work quickly.

SUPER RICH
KIND OF MAKES IT BETTER

I don't think it's guarenteed to be horrible, but given the motivation to do it, I have doubts

That's a good way of thinking about it. Compare/contrast Ben and Kate, a similarly low key, feel good sitcom that was pushing its characters in interesting directions up until the final scene.

Never seen the 60s version, but I really like the Broderick/Chenoworth version of this. It looks great visually, and the leads are well cast. Is that version generally well regarded or am I just crazy?

Funny you mention Head, he's playing a character in a Doctor Who audio I'm listening to now. He's not bad, but like the others I mentioned, he's not really bringing anything to it either.

Honestly, though they were good in their parts, I haven't seen anything from Caulfield, Lennix, Marsters, or Torres that would be considered great. Though I'd add NPH, Adam Baldwin, and Enver Gjokaj to that list, that's still only, what, half of the actors he's worked with? Half is not a good batting average. He has a

Were we watching the same shows? More importantly, can I watch whatever you're watching?

Even though I'm behind on the show, going back and reading the month old reviews are worth it for gleaning the names for Agent Ward. That meme is the best thing to come out of this show.

First 10 episodes: C-
11-16: B-
17-19: B+/A-

I dunno, Trophy Wife has been starting to bore me more and more recently. They had a fantastic cast, and some solid writing, but it didn't look like it was going anywhere or improving at all beyond the solid pilot. It moved way down on my priority list over the season, and I'm sad to see it go, but I'm not distraught.

I think it's just a matter of time. It might not be for a long time, but either enough distance will make the BBC not care as much when Big Finish opens negotiations and give a reasonable price, or one or multiple of the older Doctors will die, forcing BF to enter negotiations and pay up even if it's expensive.

Well, it hasn't been the case since 1999.

Which is great because
A) He's breaking the Doctor Who curse of having its main actors fade into obscurity/be only known for that show
B) When Big Finish gets the rights to make Tenth Doctor stories you know he will be all over that.

There are still around 33 episodes of Bob's Burgers either produced or in production and unaired. So it will last more than just next year, even if Fox orders no new episodes.

I think CW's problems are more of circumstance (newest network never really finding a strong breakout hit or foothold to draw eyeballs) than any kind of direct mismanaging. Hasn't it been doing well this year?

Don't worry, you'll have modern Simpsons in between to act as a breather.

I'd bet money on that dialog happening sometime nearly verbatim next season. Like half this show is knowing winks to Disney movies.

There's enough episodes produced to last through 2016. That will be six seasons, totaling around 100 episodes. I dunno, it's hard for me to be sad about a run that great.
