I just like any show that's willing to head on acknowledge the inevitability of our own mortality. So I liked the ending to this one.

Ha! I totally didn't recognize him under the beard! That's awesome, I LOVED Zelenka.
Yeah, that emotionally affected me in a way I wasn't expecting, and I'm years away from being a parent.
Eh, I think it's more a little from column A, a little from column B. A lot like Anna Torv in Fringe in that respect. I believe he did make some choices last season to seem more wooden, but I think a lot of his opening up his emotions in recent episodes has as much to do with him being able to access emotions stronger…
Haha true. As soon as he signed the paper it was obvious Ollie just screwed himself over big.
Yeah, this is the best show for me if I want to feel super hyped up and excited. They know how to lay the tension thick like no other.
I can't heap enough praise on how nuanced and engaging his Island Oliver performance is becoming. He's really forming a strong continuity between the performances.
I'm really excited for Slade's scheme to reach it's endgame and start laying the actual hurt on Oliver, and the main reason is to see what Amell does when confronted with that. It's going to be A-class material handed to him on a silver platter, and I want to see him nail it.
Not bad acting: Bennett savoring dropping that truth bomb, and then just jauntily twirling and walking away. He gets off on this shit, and that's barely a euphemism.
It's like the writers have a goal to make every scene end with the audience saying "oh you motherfuckers".
Subtle but fantastic acting moment of the night goes to Caity Lotz explaining how she's gonna strap a bomb to a dude's back, quickly jumping over to the dark side with little fuss.
I guess Summer Glau isn't Talia, so you think they'll call her Ravager sometime, or just leave her as Isabel?
"Mike’s (Matt Walsh) new marriage"
Yeah, I get that. Community is like the sitcom Firefly, Who, etc. I bet the fandom looks really different comparing the outside and inside.
I got into Doctor Who right before it got big overseas, around when season 3 was airing here. Though far from the cult hit it used to be in America, it was still a mid-level geeky show, on the grounds of Stargate, Farscape, or whatever Star Trek had deteriorated to around that time. Then Blink came and offered a…
I actually have adblocker disabled for this website because I want them to get my hits. But if this keeps up I might turn it back on again.
Frozen and Captain America 1 still hold up if anyone was wondering. The latter is a fantastic example of great design being used in both direct and subtle ways. There's som much more detail than you would expect in these kinds of summer tentpole films.
I know the feeling, Firefly fans ruined* Firefly for me. It's a testament to the show that I consider it even "pretty good" after all the fannishness over it I was exposed to before watching.
There are some old companions that are like that: Barbara, Zoe, and Liz off the top of my head.
You're the only person I've seen with a negative opinion on it. If I'm being honest with myself, it should be a B or B-, but still on the strength of the ideas, the acting, and Turlough's characterization I think it's more worthy than C-. Eh, to each his own.
