I’m a voice actor and made my career working in the gaming industry. I know how it works and what is going on and what it is actually like, because I live it.

Most voice actors are non union. Also, many SAG protections for actors are not extended to voice actors,which is an ongoing contentious issue for VO’s and SAG. Many devs hire non union to get around the few SAG protections. There are horror stories about VO’s work for game developers.

I wonder how they treat their voice actors, who would be considered contractors? It seems like they are just shitty people to work for and that starts at the top and trickles into all areas.where people are undervalued and treated poorly.

I have a collection of vintage and antique cookbooks passed down to me. The recipes in them are amazing. I have the BEST baking recipes from them. When not a care about butter and carbs was to be had. Many of them also include tips for the housewife.
