Yeah, that’s how stuff should work. Companies should not and should not be able to monitor what I’m doing with the stuff I buy.

While that is correct, when vehicles are self driving, human are no longer required to pay attention to intervene when needed, having an entertainment system is a great benefit.

someone in the top thread advocated for video game access while driving because of personal responsibility.

Wait, are you saying that you are against car safety laws, because drivers should just driver better instead of having accidents? That’s the weirdest take I’ve seen in a long time.

“B-b-b-but we can’t fix everything, so we shouldn’t fix anything.”

A car dashboard is not the place to have video games. Ever.  Maybe when the car is in park, but even then it encourages gaming at red lights.

Sending video off to Tesla servers would absolutely be the wrong move. But there are at least two ways to do this that aren’t intrusive.
First, use the standard passenger seat weight sensors to at least make sure that there is a person in the seat before allowing any games to be played.
Second, even back two console

Disingenuous dumbass fucktards get dismissed. Period.

Because there’s a big fucking difference between your phone that’s only going to hurt someone if you throw it at them and a big ass fucking car that is going to kill someone if you stop paying attention at the wrong second.

Man, Musk’s desperate fanboy harem are out in full force on this one...no matter how hard you type, he’s not going to fuck you.

That is true but this has been a Tesla gripe forever. And I got it 6-7 years ago When they were still trying to get down mass production processes and such. But come on. they have now sold 2 million cars. this shouldnt be a thing. and it shouldnt be a thing for any car manufacturer who is selling a $60K+ car

It’s hard to feel sympathetic for someone who casually trades in a car that’s barely a year old, but I understand the frustration.

Edited for content and context:
The videographer erroneously uses the word “leather.” I don’t think the videographer is doing so with any ill-intention but here’s my beef (pun intended).
It’s vinyl. Stop trying to church it up. There’s no such thing as vegan leather just like there’s no such thing as plant based meat.

The interiors were already cheap plasticky disappointment cabins to begin with, how much worse are they going to get?

“Sail away, to the cold expanse of space. Even love, couldn’t keep you in your place.”

AND if they make a game called sonic, Sega will have a leg to stand on and a strong case.

Take-Two is internationally known, but it’s for being miserable douchebags. Rob would be disappointed.

People say this all the time but it has never negatively affected other publishers like Sega who haven’t gone after creations DIRECTLY using the names of their IPs (mainly Sonic).

You know, if they sued Nickelback, I might actually be able to get behind that one.

Why don’t they sue the music industry? They keep using the word “rockstar”, they might not have a trademark but they use it too easily, I say start by suing Metallica.
