I’m not saying this is the greatest film in the history of time, I’m just saying that Citizen Kane should probably be looking over its shoulder.

Kirk will ALWAYS be my #1 captain. Always.

If all you’re seeing is skin color you are in the wrong starfleet.

This really should have been The Authority.

I was thinking less Indiana Jones and more Wallace and Gromit.

I agree- they’re usually a bit dark around the edges.  This is very Aardman-like.

This is not typical Laika fare. In fact it seems very heavily influenced by Aardman or Dreamworks. I hope they manage to pull it off.

Guessing the overlap is pretty minimal, thankfully, if the previews are any indication.

The cartoons have already renamed him Kid Arachnid, but I think that the comics are going to keep him as Spider-Man, simply because the new movie is coming out. Plus, there are already a ton of Spider-Men out there and having a book called Miles Morales: Spider-Man isn’t going to be that confusing.

Mary, Sue, and Mel were the best. The Best. But I do adore getting to know the bakers. Even if it’s different now, it’s been nice to keep up that vibe of celebrating such insanely amazing bakes.

castlevania?

No, I completely understand. I just find the “trademark misuse” stuff hilarious.

I agree with you. In this case, it’s racism I’m less concerned about than an administration that treats complex and potentially risky policy moves (giving an already unstable regime more reason to pursue a nuclear arms program)  like stings for an upcoming television episode.

I think they’re giving Trump way to much credit for being able to layer a meme’s meaning. He strikes me as more of a blunt hammer type, if he said sanctions, he meant sanctions. It’s not like he has any issue with decrying and straight up lying about the refugees in the migrant caravan.

But they don’t want to remake any of that. They just want their own stab at the vast prior material.

Hollywood has been trying to make a new Flash Gordon movie for years—and now, an up-and-coming director has just approached the plate.

Beer was prohibited in Iceland until 1989 and I don’t recall much of a beer culture when I visited a decade later. I know something was there but spirits seemed to be the leading drink of choice. Don’t know about US Troops, but I can think of a few veterans this side of the pond who can drink for England. That should

Any reason? I live in a college town and this is the exact right time of year for them to blow off steam with harmless fun. I'd prefer them trick or treating than having roudy drunken parties.

I would add:

What about “Gattaca”?
