I’m sorry, but I still have to disagree. While I will agree it could negatively disrupt the user if taken to excess, a single one-off, “Hey, you like sniper rifles, here’s an example of a new sniper rifle you might like to buy” isn’t a big deal. Some people may even appreciate it.

AFAIK, e-verify is pretty much just a way for employers to (easily) prove they’ve done due diligence to avoid suffering the legal ramifications.
