Right, because American slaves pretended everything was fine until the problem fixed itself and racism disappeared forever. Women should just ignore that they get paid less than men for the same job and maybe they'll get paid more!

Oy.

Hey, at least they aren't walking around dressed like this. At least I hope they aren't.

FYI: That's called an "argument from incredulity," a logical fallacy which is pretty self explanatory. It's also a very relatable fallacy, since humans can't intuitively grasp the vast scales of time and natural processes involved in the evolutionary process.

Goddamn, Bayonetta's proportions still creep me out.

Don't you see the revolution?!?

Short reply:

It's just a good excuse to commit to a console I was already considering. I'm not getting it JUST to play P4G, and I don't think anyone is suggesting that.

Impossibly well-stated. Thank you for writing this.

Science DOES operate by consensus; a consensus of peer-reviewed, verifiable data and experimentation. I agree that simply having more scientists on your "side" of the argument doesn't make that argument correct.

Eh, in the .gif above I get a much stronger "latina" vibe than anything else. Certainly not the same Chinese woman that comes across in your picture.

Nintendo recently announced that they're implementing a method for 3DS game patches and the like. The IR port thing may not end up being that big of an obstacle.

I'm right there with you. Cannot stand that look. Would've preferred all-white, but whatareyagonnado.

It's their first lost as a publicly traded company, meaning their first loss since the early 1960's. They may have had losses prior to that, but they didn't have to tell anyone about it. Still not bad, I guess.

It's called "economy of scale." The more you make of something, the cheaper it becomes to make per-unit. Over time, the 3DS is becoming cheaper to make because of increases in production efficiency, supply chains, etc.

People keep talking about "the end of the console," making broad comparisons to the mobile gaming industry. Sometimes they will literally compare things like COD units sold vs. total number of Angry Birds downloads (as if that means something).

Nintendo's profits have been way, way down. Even at their peak they've never been able to throw around the same kind of money as Sony and Microsoft.

Since when does Nintendo have dump trucks full of money?

It's more like Pokemon Conquest coming out on the DS instead of 3DS, but I get what you're saying. If it were a full-on MH game, I'd be slightly more shocked.

Saw that top-left one when I was there almost exactly a year ago. Guess I came at the right time!
