We just got a mirrorless camera last week (Sony alpha a6000) and it’s just about as loud as your typical DSLR. It definitely has the shutter sound, though I’m sure the lens in use would have an effect on the volume.

This is almost exactly how I do it. Divided into five roughly equal portions: 1) Extra mortgage payment 2) Save 3) Summer Vacay 4) Home improvement 5) Splurge. You don’t even need a choice of providers. I tell my provider that I’m going to their competitor, and they keep me below their own promotional rate. They don’t even think to check that the competitor I am threatening with doesn’t have service in my area.
