Farmers could install their own RTK base stations - $400 to $4000. I expect the high price ones are used for land surveying.

Huh, weird, it should be a slideshow but I might have messed something up in our CMS for it to publish not as one.

Jesus man, you just summed up my entire existence in two succinct, insightful sentences.

As an offical boomer (grand)dad I don’t get this at all.

Crashing into something at 45mph while sitting criss-cross-applesause in a cramped metal tub will now be the recurring nightmare that never before occurred to me.

That thing is in amazing shape for the mileage, age and intended original purpose. NP for someone not scared of high mile german stuff.

You can get a Chevy Equinox EV base model with 319 miles stated range for under $30k. In practice (with mostly city driving), mine gets around 330 miles of range.

I still can’t help but wonder what a (more) compliant hemi using Hurricane Turbo tech would have meant for the company. In THEORY that could have been accomplished without breaking the bank and help bridge the gap to more widespread acceptance of electrification. They already had enough boost running through the

The reliability rankings allow a lot of subjectivity...much like the window crank one you can ding any vehicle for what you perceive as a problem. For example rivian’s air condition compressor was mounted in a way that it amplified it’s sound into the cabin...so “noisy AC” would be a knock against them. They have an

I never noticed that before, you're right. It's like a 3.5/5 scale Highlander.

Your story on this is incredibly incorrect. In an instance of thumb-nosing to Russia, their industrial espionage agents were essentially handed erroneous, incorrect engineering plans and data (by US Intelligence) on the Space Shuttle program. That they then used to build these. They only made the one test flight

No. For all the money, I want all the restoration quality.

Fiskfuls of cash?

I’m convinced that he’s somehow a one-man tax fraud scheme, where corrupt billionaires who need to lose money for tax purposes just throw money.

I agree. This car is clean and presented well. I’d trust this car over one that hasn’t been driven. For those critical of the receipts: You’d be critical if it didn’t include receipts, so how many is the right number?

E39 M5s bottomed out about 8-9 years ago. I remember examples like this selling in the $10-15k range back then. They’ve now transitioned from “used car” to “classic car” in valuation, and condition is paramount. Really nice examples are now $40k+.

I dunno if you are new here...but “X Car Is A Good Deal In The Used Market Right Now” is a pretty consistent blog from me over the years.

Assuming the maintenance was all performed by a good mechanic, this could be a nice price from me, although I would immediately remove the trunk subwoofers. I have a 2002 M5 with about 130K miles and would not hesitate to own one of these higher-mileage E39s so long as they have been well maintained. This car appears

That’s true, but anyone who is seriously looking to get into an E39 M5 is aware of this already. That’s also why these aren’t more expensive - nice ones command a huge premium over this, but the driver-quality ones are held back by perceived reliability.

NP unless a thorough PPI reveals any major issues. Especially NP if the rod bearing were done preventively. A history of oil analysis would give context as to the remaining life on the bearings. The E39 M5 seems to be at the bottom of the depreciation curve.
