All factual. But to assume one becoming the First Lady or First Gentleman absumes some rigid responsibility to fulfil particular “duties” is false. They were never elected. They simply inherit a title, and any work they do under that title is independent in nature.

What are the “duties” of the First Lady? They’re not an elected official. No one votes on the First Lady (or First Gentleman in that alternative scenario). It’s strictly a title.

I think you underestimate the difference between 5 & 30 million. But I tend to agree. I think if anything emotional control is more likely the (possible) motivation. Especially if the adversary is blatantly against your presence.
