Did anyone else think this was going to be about extending battery life?

So at this point I've bought the Mac app, the iPhone app and the iPad app (didn't used to be universal). Not sure if I feel like upgrading.

Why isn't this a free update? I love Reeder, but... I don't know if I want to spend $5 again on an update that doesn't seem to offer much of an upgrade.

Honestly a bit annoyed that this wasn't an update to the original Reeder. I spent another $5 for what was basically the same app. I am sure the backend is much different and much improved, but it still feels like a rip-off to people who bought Reeder 1 for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. I bet I can expect to shell out again…
