Unfortunately the whistle (or half-assed attempt at it, anyway) pretty well destroys anything that happens after it’s blown. You can’t fault a goalie for losing a puck after hearing a whistle - of course, when the goalie never actually establishes any sort of control that makes the whole situation that much worse.

It wasn’t about free throws as it’s hard to play defense and match the physicality of the Cavs with all the fouls. A bulk of fouls came in 1st not allowing warriors to play with pace and had they had to worry about getting too many fouls. As a neutral viewer: Refs absolutely benefited Cavs to a severe degree in first quarter. Refs then proceeded to completely shit the bed, frequently in the Warriors favor, in the second half. Cavs won.
