I never really thought of this movie as horror. Is "tribute," a genre? It's a horror tribute. I would say homage, but that word doesn't seem to fit for me.

I legit thought Ghoulies was a scary movie as a kid.

Ugh… I just don't like Jared Leto. A friend of mine told me he met him on a 30 Seconds to Mars tour and said he got really pissy when he tried to talk to him about acting because he was in his music mode. I just don't have time for precious people who take themselves too seriously.
