“…they believe that no one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away—until the clock he wound up winds down, until the wine she made has finished its ferment, until the crop they planted is harvested. The span of someone’s life, they say, is only the core of their actual existence.” - Reaper

Christopher Meloni can root around my Underground Railroad…

Discworld! I would want to be a witch though. Otherwise I'd end up getting killed at the Mended Drum or something. :P

Its sad, but its kinda cool he got to finish his show. He went out on top.

Eraserhead!

Mike Skinner introduced me to a new way to listen to and understand music. He was one of my earliest introductions to UK youth culture. He had a way of making the mundane seem important, if not beautiful. I'll always love him for his storytelling and ability to broaden my world view.

Yes dude. Liquid Television was my jam! Mtv used to have some of the coolest animation. I remember Oddities with The Maxx and The Head being particular favorites of mine. Was Cartoon Sushi the same show as Liquid Television?

I kinda thought they were going for more of a Russell Simmons than Spike Lee thing really.

I've always been under the impression that since she got her Hulkiness from a blood transfusion, it was less of a case of Hulkiness. :P

I have a friend who dislikes his work and I trust her less now because of it. Like, she said she hates how he draws Silver Surfer… The dude is fucking channeling a suped up version of Jack Kirby! He's perfect for it!

Not really. She's not a full on Hulk like he is. And she does on occasion get super hulked out. I honestly really like the way Mike Allred drew her. There was also something charming about the way Juan Bobillo did her big beefy arms when she was boxing the Champion of the Universe. Usually when they do her all veiny

Michael Haneke is one of those directors who I will always watch, no question. While his films usually leave me feeling like an awful piece of trash, they've got a strange honesty to them. I like his stuff for that reason. He's one of the few filmmakers who portrays film as an absurdity, sometimes throwing the rules

Ah, so he DID do it…

I'm so glad I have you Scott. Who else would explain comic books at me?

Came here to read an article about a great comic artist and all I can see is that fingernail!

Goddamn you. Can't unsee.

I am so down for this.

I rewatched it on Netflix after posting this last night, and I still don't really understand the scene. Like, I guess he couldn't keep the dog, but holy crap!

Mind you, I haven't seen it since then…

OMG this fucking movie. That kid is such a piece of shit the entire time. You're just like "NO! What? Why?!!!" He's just awful. I watched that shit when I was a kid and that dog scene floored me.
