Judas Booth? That is one obscure ass David Lynch reference.

Well the bigger question is, who is it getting out of a fix- the Doctor or the writers?

Might I suggest an early Pertwee?  I liked Inferno a lot.  I think it would be good to talk about the Doctor when he was TARDISless.  Would be nice to hear your opinions on a grounded Doctor.

You fail at snark.  You've obviously missed the entire point of my post.  I think anyone with a simple grasp on the English language understands that science fiction without science is just fiction.

I think the worst setting I've ever seen the sonic screwdriver produce was "fix barbwire," in the Empty Child episode.  I was like "WAT."

Yeah, I gotta agree, I do like psychic paper too.  It's a fun idea.  It explains away otherwise tedious stuff.  Which is really the least amount of harm those devices could do to storytelling.  At their worst, they could completely carry the story. :P

What an amazing gift it must be to ruin things for yourself.

Your mentioning of perception filters echos my own thoughts as of late.  I just kind of think they could use a little less of them.  I've been watching a lot of the John Pertwee years and having the Doctor grounded, without his TARDIS has made for some rather interesting viewing.  Or when you look back at Peter

Oh my stuff… that looks so good.

You know, I hate to say it, but the "Noooo!" wasn't near as bad as I suspected.  The eyelids don't bother me at all.  However, changing the Krayyt call was over the line!  OVER THE LINE LUCAS!

They did a pretty good job of covering up the fact that her being a time lord was an after thought since she didn't regenerate in the library.   Giving away her regenerations to the Doctor might have been a plot device, but it was a clever one.  I just wish they hadn't killed him to do it.  Every time he dies, I get

I watched it on BBC's Doctor Who page.

She, but yeah. :)

Anyone else like how they left a bit of ambiguity when they mention how they found a bigger war criminal than Hitler?  Leaving the viewer to imagine they mean the Doctor for a moment or two was a great example of the kind of light and dark personality they've given Matt Smith's Doctor.

It wasn't incredibly hard to see coming, but it kept me in the dark long enough to have fun with it.  I honestly first saw Mels as them setting up someone interesting for a replacement of Amy and Rory when time comes for them to leave.

If you watch the in between of a Good Man and Let's Kill Hitler, you get to see a pretty effective message left by Amy on the Doctor's answering machine about finding her baby.  I think it kind of pads some of the issues you had and also compliments the line "You never answer your phone."  I dunno, I was kind of under

Kenneth Anger's Hollywood Babylon makes the account of fucking a girl with a champagne bottle to be a lot more graphic and seems a lot more incriminating.  Then again, Anger was always known for collecting newspaper clippings, so that could be that sensationalist journalism speaking.

Darren Aronofsky
I don't like most of his films except maybe the Wrestler and Black Swan. But I think he's brilliant, even when I don't like his stuff.

Yeah, there's a really early episode where they show some of his correspondence and his first name is at the top.

Not sure if this is good or bad…
But I don't think I know a single James Brown song. I know people chop up one of his break beats like crazy, but I doubt I've ever heard it in its entirety.
