Try Lucha Underground. It airs on El Ray and the Robert Rodriguez influence is seen in skits and promos they do. They really go to town with the grindhouse tone of the thing. There is a longform story told around every character, and some of them are insane. Wrestlers present themselves as a 1000 year old Aztec

The Rittenhouse story is boring AF, but otherwise the show is perfectly watchable. As you said, it needs a little bit extra to be truly compelling. Right now it’s just good.

Jai bless the Z-Nation; also fuck TWD. That show is actively wasting people’s time, plodding along with no real developments beyond people dying. Z-Nation at least haves fun and is faster paced.

Vice was great fun, better than the season before it and definitely better than the P.I. season, which was the least funny for me. Still, all of them are worth watching.

Just googled the names, looks like it’s from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Haven’t watched it myself, although I hear it’s funny. It’s on my to-watch list as of now.

I think it’s already stated (in the EU at least, for whatever that’s worth now) that she has force abilities, but they are more passive and instinctive. She hasn’t tried to develop them, since she felt her role is more of a leader dealing with tactics.

American Ultra had its moments, including Goggins. Not sure why the film is so disliked, it was not amazing but it was fine for what it was.

Here’s to someone offering her a role in a better show soon. I wouldn’t mind having some better genre fare replace Gotham entirely, not just having something better for her to act in.

The show is bonkers batshit insane and to us it’s either shit or an entertaining trainwreck. She is getting paid though, spends time with her husband on the same show, and probably has a ton of fun.

Was that the Despecialized edition? I watched that using the compressed version, it still looked great. Highly recommended to everyone looking for something as close to an original restoration, until they release an official one.

Silent Hill (the first movie, not Revelations) was pretty good, first Resident Evil was great shlocky fun, Mortal Kombat the same. Fun and rewatchable, even if they are not the best movies. Haven’t seen Prince of Persia or Warcraft.

You can always keep a separate save for every chapter in the game. It’s not like this is Dark Souls.

The mysterious shadowy organization trope is the worst. The entire Rittenhouse-centric episode was so boring, since it was all empty words and no plot. All I remember from it was the laughable phone call recording of Nixon where he was like ‘Rittenhouse this and that’, and still never giving us any substantial info.

You can hardly call that an animated series, seeing it was 5-minute episodes totaling 25 minutes. An animated short would be better description.

Rewatched Forever earlier this year - it was fine. It was campy and scenery chewing, but it was ok for what it was. Nowhere near as bad as B&R - I guess this was Schumacher’s reasonable Batman movie, while the next one was stupid on steroids.

Yeah, he is the most boring milquetoast character they could add. And his suit looks like designed by a 10-year old.

Yeah, the show has been much better this season. The only bad episode that comes to mind is that slavery-themed episode, which was cringe on so many levels.

Preach. Civil War was my last Marvel movie in the cinema, since they slowly but surely turned into the superhero version of a Steven Seagal action movie - forgotten by the next morning. At least the truly mediocre ones, since every once in a while they release a good one.

I don’t think he’s referring to any romance, although I don’t know if anything happens in the last episode (which I haven’t watched yet). He’s probably talking of Jimmy as Guardian, which I think is stupid and forced.

Thanks. I’ve watched plenty of the HBO shows, but somehow Sopranos was never on my radar for all those years. I have to amend that at some point.
