We need an electric MR2 called the MR3.

Going to movies alone is awesome, especially if you go late at night when there’s almost nobody else there.

Making light of a scary outbreak is normal. Making racist jokes at the expense of an entire nationality (many of whom are victims of this outbreak, and none of whom are personally responsible for it) is not.

This is also your daily reminder that the regular flu kills far more people per year than the coronavirus has so far. The worldwide total of coronavirus deaths just hit 1,000 today. Flu deaths are estimated at between 12,000 and 61,000 per year, and that’s just in the United States.

“as long as two cars lined up bumper to bumper”

Here’s an alternate idea:

Precisely. This is basically going to be “Antifa Are The Real Terroists: The Movie”, and I am very much not on board for it.

Model trains are boring? I’m afraid we can’t be friends.

I don’t think there is such a thing as a liberal shooting club.

This is good news.

They know they’re creating propaganda for the GOP. The entire premise of the movie is a very common conservative fantasy. None of this is an accident, and the “both sides” bullshit is just a lame attempt to cover their asses.

And why exactly do you frequent this place?

It’s an obvious pro-conservative violent fantasy. Trumpsters love to believe that they’re the real oppressed minority, and that liberals are a bunch of fainting lilies while simultaneously being murderous monsters. This movie depicts that exact fantasy, and saying “muh both sides” does nothing to hide it.

I would, as long as the liberals win (as the conservatives presumably will in The Hunt). It would certainly be much more plausible.

“The conservatives are people who have radical podcasts, are abrasive message board posters, go big-game hunting, and own copious amounts of guns. The liberals are wimpy wine snobs who fly in private jets, eat caviar, and check each other’s speech for anything remotely insensitive.”

The Hunt isn’t singling out one political group, but takes aim at extreme views on both sides”

I lied before. I’m certain he’s not right.

Now playing

These are awesome! Reminds me a bit of this:

I know this is stating the obvious, but it makes me said that we live in an age where we actually need to be reminded that Nazis belong in jail. That’s one of those things that should be more of a foregone conclusion than it apparently is.

I have a friend who insists Bad Boys 2 is good. I refuse to watch it and find out. I can’t decide if I’m more afraid that he’s right, or that he isn’t.
